Sunny’s NAVHDA NA Test 6/24/2023

We picked up our Sunny from North Dakota this weekend after she spent 7 weeks with Great Divide Kennel – Braque Francais training her for the NAVHDA NA test. Travis ran her yesterday and she scored a 110 and recieved a Prize 1. We are super happy about the amount of progress Travis and his family were able to make in a short time. I would highly recommend you look at them for both training and Braque puppies. I belive he only has a few spots left for his next litter.

Next up for Sunny is PennHip and eye tests, and getting her on as many wild birds as possible this fall.

Litter Announcement – Jan/Feb 2021

We are happy to announce that next week we will be breeding Gertie to Eloy de Chamboisnd (Milo).  This will be the first litter in over 5 years that involves a Braque Francais that has passed NAVHDAs UT test or higher. These puppies will be great hunters (will be ready to hunt in the fall of 2021!)  and family members.

We are now taking application and expect the pups be born in Jan/Feb and ready to go home around March/April.  Both parents are titled, and hip tested (PennHIP).

Pups will be Chestnut & White and we expect heavy ticking.  There will not be any Roan colored pups out of this mating.

Send me an email or fill out the contact us page if you are interested and I will send you an application.  We will be taking 6 reservations, puppy selections will be in the order deposits are received.

You can see pictures of Milo and Gertie on our facebook page

Pregnancy confirmed

We took Gertie to the Vet on 4/8/19 for an ultrasound and her pregnancy was confirmed.  We look forward to the puppies being born the in the first couple of weeks of May!

Puppies in May

We bred Gertie to “Jet” from Brielle Kennels the week of March 3rd.  We will confirm the pregnancy the week of April 8th.  If all goes as planned, puppies would be born in early May and go home around the 4th of July!

Nov 11th UKC Hunt Test

Gertie earned two passed during the trial which gives her the HUNT title. All she needs is 1 win and she will move up to the GUN title.  A lot of the people at the trial had never seen a Braque Francais, and one judge commented “I have never seen a Braque Francais and am not sure what the breed standard is, but if this dog is not the breed standard, they should reconsider the standards”.
